As you begin you drive from Kingman to Hoover Dam on Arizona Highway 93, be sure to look to the south side of the road as leave Kingman headed up to Coyote Pass. There are some beautiful rock formation and mesas to be seen.

As you top Coyote Pass the community you see in front of you is Golden Valley. Currently It is growing at a steady rate, but two huge housing developments will soon change everything with 1,000's of new homes.

SoHi
The So-Hi community was named So-Hi because of the elevation - it is nestled in the Foothills over the large area of Golden Valley. This is a quiet out of the way area, but still close to Kingman - in less than 10 minutes you can drive to town. Highway 93 is just a block although you get very little traffic noise, with privacy and great views.

Enjoy the mountain views as you drive throught this broad valley. For those who are traveling in the morning the scenery is a wonderful mix of colors. Those traveling the road in the evening at sunset will have a wonderful experience.

Chloride
Chloride is a peaceful village of about 250 people in the northwest corner of Arizona. There are roughly 350 sunshine days a year in the high desert altitude of 4,009 feet in the Cerbat Mountains. The climate is perfect for the southwest lifestyle. There is a small roadside market and lunch facility at the Grass Hopper Junction on the west side of the road along Route 93.

Dolan Springs
Frequently called the gateway to Lake Mead, Dolan Springs, Arizona at an elevation of 3,350 feet, offers access to an estimated 1,000 miles of fresh water shoreline.

Rosie's Den is a famous resturant along US Highway 93 Milepost 28. At Rosie's Den, the friendly folks sell scores of lottery tickets and cook up pancakes the size of flying saucers.
White Hills

White Hills, Arizona located in Mohave County, at the Northwest corner of Arizona, is a rapidly growing community. It is located off Arizona State Highway 93 on the east side, about 30 miles South of Hoover Dam.

A former mining town of 400 people, many of the residents of this small community are retired. There is also a growing population of peope who work in Las Vegas or Laughlin, Nevada and Kingman, AZ. There is a lot of distance between gas station in this part of the country. Here is a welcome site!

In 2008 a new Texaco Gas Station opened and brought a much needed stop of gas, snacks and clean restrooms. It is a long drive from Kingman to White Hills and many a driver has been looking for gas about now. Be sure to buy something if you expect to just use the restrooms.

It is nice to have gas now being sold out there in the middle of nowhere. Not too long ago it was 90 miles of no services after you left Kingman till you reached a gas station in Nevada.
Willow Beach
Willow Beach Harbor is located on the Arizona side of the Colorado River. The turn off is just 14 Miles south of Hoover Dam and another 3.5 miles off Highway 93.

As the gateway to the Black Canyon, Willow Beach sees a lot of visitors who come here to launch their boats or to rent boats. The Colorado is very calm below the dam and the high canyon walls usually keep out any winds.

Willow Beach has a convenience store, a launch ramp, boat rentals and marine fueling facilities.Willow beach is a beautiful place to go fishing and bring your camera. Eexplore this historic area for a once in a lifetime photographic experience!

Hoover Dam
Hoover Dam created Lake Mead. Lake Mead National Recreation Area has 1.5 million acres in the 3,000 square miles, including Lake Mead. The lake, occupies less than 13% of the total area of the park, and caters to boaters, swimmers, sunbathers, and fishermen. There are miles of crystal clear open water and clean beaches.
